The Digital Preservation Trust has been established to ensure the longevity of NotForgotten’s archives and help keep our promises to our customers for centuries to come. The mission of the Not Forgotten Digital Preservation Trust is to contribute to safeguard the documentary heritage of humanity, by organizing, preserving, communicating, and sharing the record of human knowledge and legacies it holds in the Not Forgotten archive and keep these accessible, in-tact and discoverable for generations beyond.
The Not Forgotten Library and Guarantee Trust Fund is overseen by an advisory board responsible for the administration of our continuing obligations for hundreds of years – caring for and making decisions concerning the video assets and the infrastructure which supports them
The NotForgotten Digital Preservation Trust board of advisors will
Oversee the legacy products in its archive and library catalog
Administer the library operation and funding long into the future.
Maintain and update information on how to access the records of the legacy producrs in its depository by posting information on this bulletin or an equivalent library platform.
The purpose of the Guarantee Trust Fund is to manage the investment to cover ongoing storage and technology migration costs of the NotForgotten Archives as well as to execute on migrating the physical copies of the Videos to updated formats over time. We intend to keep our promise of preservation by setting aside a portion of your Fees to cover all reasonably foreseeable technology costs (new tape drivers and replacement tapes/media formats) and storage fees to safeguard your Video online and in the Long-Term Storage Facility.
The Not Forgotten Library is a separate entity from the operations of the company, and customer legacies are part of this library.
